Egypt Leagues
Egypt Leagues is an Odoo 19 multi-tenant platform for community football in Egypt. A national hub routes fans to branded league sites under /{slug}/; the Al-Leib league (alleib) ships live matches, age-category standings (+30/+40), news, player intake, and MVP voting — bilingual Arabic and English, RTL-first.
The challenge
Community leagues in Egypt run on WhatsApp groups and PDF tables — no credible public product, no scalable way to launch a second league, and almost no Arabic-first sports UI that handles +30/+40 age splits, live match presentation, and player onboarding in one place.
The solution
Built Egypt Leagues on Odoo 19 as a multi-tenant platform: a national hub (egyptleagues.com) routes visitors to league microsites at /{slug}/, with Al-Leib (alleib) as the live reference tenant.
Public pages use QWeb and modular vanilla JS fed by a website_slice JSON API. Organizers manage leagues, teams, matches, live scoring, news, cup brackets, and intakes from one Odoo backend — countdown, live ticker, RTL standings (+30/+40), top scorers, news, gallery, join/contact, newsletter, MVP voting, and member accounts. Product codebase: Capital Leagues addon.
Results
- Live production at egyptleagues.com — hub plus full Al-Leib league site with real season data
- Multi-tenant Odoo architecture: new leagues get /{slug}/ routes without a separate deploy
- Arabic-first RTL across navigation, tables, forms, and legal pages
- Match-day UX: live badges, countdown, ticker, match-detail lineups/events, organizer backend for live updates
- Conversion paths: join intake, contact, newsletter, and /pricing for onboarding more leagues
